Why did we do it?
Peraoke started with a simple problem. We wanted to sing Persian songs, and finding a good karaoke version was close to impossible. What existed either still had the original vocals on top, came with no lyrics, or sounded bad enough to quit halfway through.
So we made them ourselves. One song at a time: vocals removed, the music cleaned up, artwork made for each track — and all of it in one place, free, for anyone who wants to sing in Farsi. New tracks go up every week, and most of them exist because someone asked for them.
What matters to us
A track goes up when it actually sounds good to sing over, not before.
Running costs are covered by donations, not ads or paywalls.
Much of this library isn’t performed anywhere any more. Keeping it singable is the point.
