Rights, licensing and takedowns
For labels, publishers, estates and artist representatives. If you want something off Peraoke, this page is the fastest way.
Ask us to remove something
Email info@peraoke.com with the subject line Takedown — artist / title.
Tell us:
- the artist, and the title — or say the whole artist, which we handle as one request;
- who you are and what you represent;
- a link to the page here, if you have one handy. It is not required.
We take it down first and ask questions afterwards. You do not need to prove anything to us before it comes off. We do not require a lawyer, a form, a notarised statement or a court order, and we will not argue with you about fair use.
Once it is off, it stays off: the same recording cannot be uploaded again, by anyone, and the attempt is refused at the door rather than caught later.
We are in California and we usually reply within two days.
Where the songs come from
Songs on Peraoke are put up by named contributors — people we have approved by hand, not an open upload box. Every song carries the name of the person who uploaded it, and every uploader confirms they have the right to upload it before it goes anywhere.
We are a karaoke tool. People bring a song, the app takes the lead vocal off it on their own phone, and they sing it. Most of what happens in Peraoke never touches our servers at all.
If you would rather license it to us
We would prefer that. Persian music is badly served by every karaoke app there is, and we would rather pay for a catalogue than take one down.
Email info@peraoke.com with the subject Rights & licensing — artist / title and we will send you what we have: how many people are singing your artists, what we would pay, and on what terms.
A conversation about licensing never slows down a takedown. If you want something off while we talk, it comes off.
